writing coaching for spiritual creatives
Equipping You with Clarity, Consistency and Confidence so you can fulfill your calling as a writer.
So, you want to write and think God is calling you to write, but struggle finding time as you juggle working full-time or being a stay-at-home mom with littles that demand EVERY SECOND of your time and attention. You keep making excuses and finding housework to do, cabinets to re-organize again, and other projects to work on, BESIDES writing. As a result, you’re growing increasingly annoyed with yourself, thinking, “What’s wrong with me, I really want to write, why is this so hard?” And as if you weren’t feeling guilty or overwhelmed enough, when you actually manage to make time to write, your inner critic takes over, so you don’t actually get any writing done, just a lot of second-guessing yourself. You’re either stuck in a write-delete-rewrite cycle with nothing to show for it, or you haven’t progressed past the doubt and feat that overwhelm you as you try to get started.
Take heart, sweet friend -
you are in the right place!
The Blank Page Still Remains
Creating space in your calendar to write is just the first step to making writing a consistent habit. (just because it’s on your calendar doesn’t mean you’ll actually show up)
Procrastination is more than, “I don’t feel like doing it.” It’s fear causing us to freeze in our tracks and we must address this fear before we can confidently move forward.
We do not improve our writing by watching others write, or thinking about how we can write better. We improve our writing by actually writing. Yes, even if it’s messy (spoiler alert: good first drafts are supposed to be messy).
This is easier said than done, because if it was so easy you would have done it by now, right?
You’ve Tried Everything:
✔️ trying to get up at the crack of dawn to write, or squeeze it in late at night, while everyone else is fast asleep
✔️ forcing yourself to sit down and do it (short of actually gluing your butt to the chair, or maybe you’ve tried that too!)
✔️watched all the videos, listened to all the podcasts on “How to write your book in 30 days” and still are spinning your wheels, unable to get started.

Gaining Consistency
We’ll develop your writing consistency by setting up a writing ritual and writing routine, so you can incorporate writing as a daily practice. No block scheduling here, we’ll use exercises to help you connect your writing to your everyday life so your “I’m too busy to write” and “I don’t have time to write” reasons will no longer fly!

FAQ
+ Do you work with fiction writers?
Many of my clients are non-fiction writers, but the same process and principles apply to writers of any genre (hey you novel writers, I see you!) I’m happy to work with all writers, even poets!
+ I’m not sure I have the time for this right now, what's the time commitment like?
The only scheduled time commitment is a 1:1 50 min zoom session every other week, but during those sessions you will have some exercises to complete and set your daily action step for that week. You decide how much you will commit to doing. I always recommend setting small goals and building momentum from there. (Actually, if you have time to mindlessly scroll on Instagram and Facebook, you DEFINITELY have time for this program!)
+ I don't currently a have a book idea, but I want to start a blog or journaling more frequently. Can I still go through this program?
Absolutely, journaling is one the key things I emphasize at ALL stages on the program, and blogging is still getting your message out there. Writing is writing, so let’s do it!
+ I think I’m ok with the writing part, but what I really need help with is publishing and marketing, can you help me with that?
Yes! I encourage you to book a discovery call with me to discuss more about your publishing and marketing goals.
+ Do you guarantee that I’ll finish writing my book in 3 months?
So I don’t even know how people get away with offering these type of guarantees. There are so many things to consider, each person is different, life gets in the way, and there is no exact formula or strategy that works for everyone.
What I do guarantee is that if you show up and do the work and commit to your small action steps, you will see tangible progress and make lasting habits in your writing life (in my mind that’s better than a book written using a cookie-cutter way, any day)
+ Can I work wih you longer than just six sessions? I'm worried I'll need more support.
Yes! At the end of the 6 sessions included in the package, we meet and discuss next steps for setting you up for success in your writing project, and I walk through what it looks like to continue to work with me outside of the Write With Impact program.
+ I really would like some feedback and critique on my written work, do you provide anything like that?
Absolutely! I believe feedback and critique to be a very valuable tool in the writing process, and I'm happy to provide editing/feedback/critique as a separate service. Please see my "Work with Me" page for more information on my editing services.
+ I still am not sure. Can I meet with you before I sign up?
Yes. Actually, that is the next step before you are officially in the program is to meet with me for a quick 20 min discovery call to make sure that we are a good fit for each other. Schedule your quick call before we move forward by clicking "LET'S GET STARTED" below.
